John Kenny, President of Rotary International for 2009-2010 has given all Rotarians the theme for this coming Rotary year - “The future of Rotary is in your hands”.

For us Rotarians in the Perth Club this is a theme we must all take up enthusiastically if we are to see our Club grow not just in size but in effectiveness in supporting Community, Youth, International and Vocational undertakings. It will be a challenging year at a time of economic uncertainty, and which will provide a challenge for us to continue with the works for which Rotary is known. Resources including funding will be harder to obtain but I am satisfied the energies and resourcefulness of Club members will enable the Club to continue to make its mark in providing Rotary service where it is needed.

I look forward to committing myself as incoming President to ensure our Club will pick up onthis year’s theme and continue to promote Rotary and its undertakings in our community and in the wider world.
